Microneedling (collagen induction therapy) works by stimulating the immune system and wound-healing mechanisms. As the microneedles penetrate the skin causing micro wounds, it triggers an intense inflammatory reaction that naturally stimulates your body’s own collagen & elastin production.

The wound is rebuilt with new granulation cells, which are part of the extracellular matrix. Additionally, a new network of blood vessels develops. The wound is replaced with new dermal tissues, collagen, elastin and blood vessels.

To better serve our clients and manage appointment availability, our Microneedling cancellation policy is changing from 24-hour notice to 48-hour notice.

We kindly ask that all appointment cancellations or rescheduling requests be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. Missed appointments or no-shows may also be charged according to our cancellation policy.

We understand that unexpected situations can happen, and we appreciate your communication as early as possible if you need to make changes to your appointment.

I have received 2 microneedling treatments by NT’s acupuncturist, Amy. I wanted to try this service for my acne scars and seeing a licensed acupuncturist who is professionally trained with needles was very important to me. I had red/purple acne scarring/hyperpigmentation as well as pitted acne scars that formed due to me picking at my face when I was a teen. I was so self conscious of this for years and have tried so many serums and products that never worked.

Amy applied numbing cream beforehand which made the treatment feel like a light vibration on my skin and completely pain free. About a week after the first treatment I noticed my forehead became even in texture and the redness in my complexion went away. 2 weeks after the treatment I saw HUGE differences in my red/purple scarring. They lightened significantly, even scars that I had for years have faded. A month later I did my second treatment and I see more fading in my scars as well as my pitted cheek scars evening out. I am so impressed and pleased with my results.

I would highly recommend this service for anyone who has been struggling with acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. After just 2 treatments, I am already so much more confident and don’t feel the need to wear foundation or concealer anymore. I felt very comfortable and safe with Amy as well. She checked in with me many times throughout the treatments to ensure I was feeling good as she worked through different areas on my face. I plan to continue my treatments for optimal results!
