Frequently Asked Questions
In this section we provide answers to the most commonly asked questions about massage therapy. We hope you enjoy the information and share it with others. If you do not find what you are looking for, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
First appointment: What you should bring with you
Ideally, you should come wearing comfortable clothing. Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to fill out a short health form. Water is available at the studio but it is a good idea to bring a water bottle with you due to the necessity to hydrate after a massage.
Does your Health Insurance cover Payment of costs: We are happy to assist you
This is a question for your health insurance company. Some companies will reimburse their members for their massage therapy services. While Nurturing Touch does not bill insurance companies directly, we are more than happy to provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your health insurance for reimbursement.
Therapy sessions: Coordinated with your schedule
Appointments can be scheduled with the different therapists based on your individual needs. Every appointment is catered specifically to you. If you have questions about specific needs, please call our office at 916 4920725 for clarification.

What our clients are saying about us
“I am an avid cyclist (300-600 miles a month depending on what is going on) and had been looking for a new sports massage practitioner as my practitioner moved out of the country. I was referred to Nurturing Massage and made an appointment with Dana. She did a great job working out all my knots and soothing sore muscles.”
